I need to buy thank you cards. Ever since I got the keys to my new flat people have been doing nice things for me. Friends, family, work colleagues and people I don’t even know. But they know my Mum, and have offered to help me out. Everyone has been really kind and thoughtful. I’ve been given towels, bed linen, curtains, kitchen utensils, candles, pots, pans, the use of their car and a sweet Panasonic stereo system. The wood on the speakers matches the wood on the bottom of my sofa. This makes me happy. They’ve also listened to me go on and on and on about bookcases, sizes, colours, cushions and whether or not I should spend some of my budget on a giant chess set for my kitchen floor.

Some people are nice. Most people are nice. Sometimes I forget, but lately I’ve had a nice reminder.

I’m posting this photo of a sexy naked Asian girl simply because she’s standing in front of a fridge with a microwave on it and to let you all know that I’m thinking of putting my microwave on top of my fridge when I move in to my new flat.

I may or may not stand in front of it half naked.

Just like that.

All I can think about are colours and fabrics. Carpets and furniture. Cushions and shelves. Lamp shades and bean bags.

Last time I was in Homebase I lasted two minutes. Didn’t even make it to the patio furniture. I think next time will be different.

I would like this in my life.

My Cuppa Tea

I had my first cuppa in the new flat today.

I have a Michael Bay window in my flat.

Maybe something along these lines? I’m not sure how big the new flat is because I haven’t measured it yet, but I’m going to go with… small. But it’s mine. It’s small and it’s mine and I’m really, really, really looking forward to getting in there.
